SmartTicket – Functionality

SmartTicket uses the so-called market place function to be found on German chip cards (ZKA chip cards), available on debit cards and credit cards.

There is a free storage area on the card in which third parties can enter data. A legal concept has been filed to ensure that you have full access to the data entered by you and that they may not be written over or changed without your express permission. You also have the option of storing your data in encrypted form so that it cannot be read by third parties.

Safety modules (MSAMs) are used to safeguard the authorization process. You will get a safely module specifically made for you from your bank. Banks ensure in this way that every provider gets a different safety module and that the legal concept is implemented. The MSAMs are installed in the SmartLine server and safeguard the writing, changing or the cashing of the ticket.

You choose the content and meaning of the ticket yourself. SmartTicket simply considers your data as a black box which is stored on the card and can be read off again.
